I have a slight grind noise when I turn left or right, but when I'm going straight it's smooth as silk. Figure it's the front wheel bearings? Have a 74 super...

safely jack and support the car so the weights off the wheel.grab the wheel at 6 and twelve o'clock and give it a wiggle to check for play (there shouldn't be any) next spin the wheel and listen for any growling or roughness if its truly nfg you will hear it. if you have a bit of play the drum/disc can deflect and contact the shoe/pad/backing plate. id be hesitant to merely adjust wheel bearings of an unknown condition ,preferring to remove, inspect and repack or replace as required. you know... regular routine safety maintenance lol

It's always fun to find old messages ... this was three years ago, but I replaced both front outer bearings (cause they were easy to do!) and there's been no more noise!
