Had my Dad over a few weeks ago to do some mock up of the radiator.

And just the other day I tackled some wiring. This scares me the most out of the whole build. I think it's just the nervousness of turning the key and what follows after that.

No update since September = Yuck!

Anyway......some of you know I was in the search for a 'Y' in plastic. Well.....I went a little overkill Embarassed It's from Russell and it's used as a fuel 'y' so you can dump two high output fuel pumps into one rail. I just need it for valve cover and crank case ventilation.

And then I also grabbed one of these turbo blankets to keep the heat down in the engine compartment.

Latest update:

Motor wasn't starting after a while of cranking and so like any motor you need 2 things. Fuel and spark. Popped a lead off the coil pack and set up the video camera to record hopefully spark. Hit rewind and YES she sparks! One down and one to go.

Next night was to check to see if the harness at the fuel injector was pulsing. I didn't have a noid light so I borrowed a buddy at works MAC Tools LED test light with some Ford connectors and recorded again with great success. This good/bad news meant it was the injectors not firing.

So at work they went through the ultrasonic + heat for 1 hr and then we rigged up a tester to spray through the -6 rail and add 40psi of air after pushing it all through some cleaner.......then add a small 12v battery to the equation , jumpered them for a split sec and sprayed into a coffee can. It was no matched volume check but hey..........they now all sprayed. I did put 4 small o rings on the bottom just as a preventative measure.

She's alive after 2 yrs!

Motor seems to have a knock at idle but disappears as the idle increases. I haven't checked to see if the oil is draining out of the turbo but the oil level on the dipstick seems to be real high. I don't have quite 5ltrs in yet but maybe 4.5 in there. Good oil pressure though. But NO cooling yet.

Look what came out from a 3yr hibernation Very Happy I'm fighting an injector problem right now but it did make an appearance in my driveway.

I'm debating about leaving the dust/dirt and grime on her Shocked Maybe it's the patina I've always wanted ?
