Thanks to everyone for sharing info & experience.

I saw a You-Tube vid of an installation of the el-cheapo Home Depot product & it looked fairly easy to install. The guy has about 10+ vids on repairs & resto - so I am more favourably inclined to the HD product now.

JUST an FYI for those looking to sound deaden / insulate theier project:

i was cleaning out the garage last night and found my (end of the) roll of b-quiet.

This is EXACTLY the same as roof sealer (except the b-quiet is slightly thicker/heavier). i know because i am using the $12 rolls on my bay westy.

Has anyone used or know of a roll on paint type material used for sound deadening? I applied Monstaliner to exterior quarter panels, exterior application holds up well, can be applied in multiple coats if desired to increase thickness, and bonus, comes in 32 or so colours. Use for bed/tub liner or paint your complete rig for a durable attractive finish is the marketing pitch, while this is true in my experience, just occurred to me that a roll on type material may give a cleaner fit & finish inside the rig. Idea
