Re-build time! I know there are several machinists in the phone book, but what local shops are recommended? I'm looking to have the case align bored to .02 & case-savers installed. Also, how much $$ am I looking at for this work? Thx.

I used to get Peter Roberts to do my machining - he's out Happy Valley way, somewhere. The guys at Bow Wow should be able to put you in touch with him.

I got royally dicked around by Cords, and refuse to send any work or refer my friends there, so take that for what it's worth...

I like Graham at Crystal Auto Service or something on Rock Bay below another shop.. he's a nice guy, pretty reasonable, never had bad work done. but then, some people are picky about machinists, and some machinists are picky. so good luck out there.

Graham is on Rock Bay beneath Victoria Car Clinic. To the right and down the stairs.

Not sure if he machines aircooled cases though.
