Hi folks,

Well, this is the year. I'm going to forget all the "Don't bother"s. I'm going to tear down, cut up, weld, re-panel, seam seal, bondo and paint my Weekender 87 . I'm going to down a few pops, puzzle a bit, and hopefully have a few laughs on the way.

I don't have a shop, or a mig welder (yet), or any skills really, but I love this unroadworthy van, so here goes...Thank you in advance for any advice you might share along the way.

I think I'll start tomorrow Wink

Jacquie

They aren't making them anymore so it's worth the time and investment.

There are lots of club members willing to help with advice and tips.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Thanks, Steve, I bought a MP 140 Welder today, so tomorrow, with a charged battery I'll get the van in position for the first cut... I'm going to start with the drivers side front wheel area, inside, where no one can see my welds. I want to be able to stand on solid steel climbing in. My panels have been in a box labelled WolfsbergWest for about three years now.
