Have a 1992 Jetta 1.8L Automatic with no spark from any of the plugs.
I've checked each plug, the battery, the distributor, and the coil. Cleaned all 4 of corrosion, bought a new coil, and still nothing. I had a suggestion of the fuel pump and filter not working, but I read on another forum that if the pump was shot that I'd still get spark. I have no power coming out of any of the wiring going into the coil, so maybe the ignition? I'm at a loss here, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The beast lives!!!

replaced the coil, a blown relay, and redid all the ground wiring. Started up weak and died right away. Started again and let it idle for 10 mins. Tried again this morning and still starting right away.

thanks for the inputs
