The End...for now

Well it's been a swell 18 years but this site is now coming to an end. I will keep the site active with most forums locked till the end of April to let people in the buy and sell forums finish up their transactions, but after that it's going away. We're keeping the domain name and may create a new site at some point in the future, but for now the VVWCs online presence will be social media only.

Thank you to all those who supported this site and I know there's a few who still use it, but it's time has come and gone. We'll see what the future holds.

That's a pity. Not everybody uses/loves/has a presence on social media platforms.

Thats a shame I havent used facebook for years,very sorry to see this go.It has been a wealth of information for so many. People on here are eager to help for nothing more than a handshake or a couple of beer ,As well its been a place to buy and sell hard to find parts at a fair price.

My thanks to all the people who have worked this site for so many years,you will be sorely missed

Oh well, it's been a fun ride. I see my "Chris I need it" thread got up to 96 pages. I took a quick look to see, but is there a thread with a higher page count? Do I win at obsolescence?

I know the Nanaimo group have their forum still, but is there enough interest for a new all island forum for us dinosaurs?
