Here is why you always test fit things....

On the driveway, the pans went together nicely.

Decided to use a transmission jack to raise the pan up to the body to check for rear cross member fitment prior to final welding.

For the most part, things are working out.

Going to have to tweak the passenger side rear cross member as things aren't aligning the way I want them to be.

Will probably haul out the Coleco's and start drilling/aligning the rear members into place. Need to dig around the parts boxes to find the pan bolts so I can see how well the pans are aligning as well with body mounting holes.

The contrast between re-worked/painted sheet metal and original stripped-down metal when placed beside each other is nothing short of astounding.

Gives me the incentive to keep going.
