Hey all, I'm thinking of picking up my first beetle-engined project but it doesn't have an engine. How hard are they to find?

And what's with all these projects missing engines? It seems like there's a lot more vehicles than engines out there.

How hard depends on where you look and what you want. Like if you were to look in my garage, you'd find a 1600 dual port or two, and a bunch of long block cores of various displacements.

Let me know if you want more info.

Good to know, thanks. I've done some checking around on CL and such and they are out there, with prices all over the map. Funny that so many projects don't have a motor though.
