Thanks, and it was great to meet you the other day. We'd love to follow your bay build! (At least I would!)

As for updates on the bus.... some progress, not a lot. Passed the vehicle inspection. Drove it home in the absolute pissing rain with no issues. I am redoing the vacuum setup for the power brakes. I ttapped each manifold on one side each. I'm running the 44 idfs now with a Bosch SVDA. The sign from the two tapped cylinders is throwing things off a bit, so I'm redoing it all. Smile

Pulled the BN4 GAS heater. It's too big to run with dual carbs (not the stock or Single throat webber, but IDFS are quite a bit bigger and the outlet of the heater would be right touching the air filter (if I could bend it to make it fit) . Not good. So I pulled it and put in a much smaller B2. I replicated the outlet and redid the ductwork (not easy). Fits perfect and I have 2 inch clearance on the air filter/ carb. I'm double insulating the outlet and I don't want to worry about it, so I am going to fab up a separate heat shield to avoid anything bad. Wiring on the B2 is much easier as well.

Started to fart around with the interior too. Nothing spectacular, just getting started with some templates.

Speedy is tucked away for the winter so I have a boat load of space in the garage. I'll have to use Josh's method of keeping the family cars out of the garage. :8

interior is coming along nicely.

rear cabinet and headbanger all finished and installed. the lightweight birch i used (1/2") faced with foil-woodgrain-awesomeness are super lightweight. each unit weights just 12 pounds.
sorry for the huge pictures - i don't see the option to resize them

rear seats / mattress are out getting reupholstered. i used 2" extra firm topped with 1" medium - top of the line foam. it feels nice Smile

just doing wiring now. picked up a nice honkin' battery and have the 110 and 12v systems sketched out and all the parts. just need to put them in.

i did not attach the side cabinet to the headbanger yet - that's why there is a temporary gap there. and the seat belts have HUGE metal bases under them. i am pretty sure i could tow the van with just them.[/img]
