I have a '82 Westy - rear bumper is the straight chrome type with plastic end pieces. The bumper has had both corners hit and bent inwards. So the top and bottom about 1/3 the way down the bumper to the centre have been "sprung" up and down.
To straighten the bumper I have to get the top and bottom flat. Do I hammer the bumps with a wood block, use a jack or clamps to push them back into shape or ??
I can't find a youtube vid for this problem.
Do any local body shops have experience straightening these bumpers?
If you take it off and take all the plastic bits off you should be able to get it 95% straight with some big pliers and a couple of wacks with a hammer _________________ Cheers
